Trackbacks now working
I don’t know how many of you noticed but trackbacks into and out of web2ireland have been broken for a long time. After much fiddling and reinstalling and with some sterling help from Monika in hosting365, they are now functional again.
So the world now knows when web2ireland is talking about them!
Since this was a clean install, I may have missed some bits from the old one. Let me know in the comments if you spot any niggles.

Conor, can setup meaningful permalinks? Fergus said this would break previous posts but I’m not sure it will. You can do this by adding /blog/%postname%/ to the custom field.

… sorry I should have added that I’m an author (as you know) but don’t have access to the .htaccess file.

Paul, it won’t break existing posts but it will break any links on other blogs to existing posts, which is a concern.
I prefer the date/name permalink approach too. I’ll see what the consensus from the admins is.

Paul, new URLs now in place and the old ones will redirect to them correctly.
