Graphing Social Patterns

3rd of March 2008 by admin

Just wanted to let you all know that I’m in San Diego this week attending Graphing Social Patterns Conference. This conference is a partnership between Tim O'Reilly and Dave McClure and looks like a great event to meet other social media developers, entrepreneurs, VC's and other business people. I will do my best to update you on the sessions and key takeaways.

Editor Introduction: Darcy Ward – Canadian – who just completed MBA at UCD – and is about to launch a cool web2.0 company in Ireland @ social networks. Darcy is going to keep us updated on anything interesting from GSP

Garry and I are here as well. I can confirm that Darcy is taking lots of notes. So far the speakers have been really good.

Anybody else from Ireland at GSP or at ETech?

Daniel

The first day of GSP West is over and it was a great one. We heard from a lot of good speakers and seen a few good pitches. We even had a complimentary drink from Facebook!

As Daniel eluded to, I did indeed take lots of notes and will do my best to summarize the key themes, insights, and relevance to web 2.0 Ireland once the hectic two day conference is over.

Just in case anyone can’t wait that long here’s a good writeup by Sean Ammirati of Read/WriteWeb; it’s about Charlene Li’s (Forrester.com) opening keynote entitled

The Future of Social Networks at Graphing Social Patterns
